Why You Need Them- Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journal
It has been said that nothing can replace the tried and true method of information storage like a pen and paper. Everyday I carry something to write with alongside something to write on. The act of writing something down is beneficial for various reasons. Writing things down has short, mid and long term benefits that anyone can reap. Doing this regularly has proved valuable in my life. One ideal weapon of choice for this is the Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journal.
General Overview
The Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journal is an attractive, high quality, simple solution for daily carry. It’s size is small enough to fit inside a pocket (as the name implies) but not too little where using it would be difficult. The Cahier Pocket Journals dimensions are: 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ with a very slim thickness profile. These journals are constructed with thick cardboard covers on the front and back, as well as stitching along the spine to keep it all together.
ISBN 13# for this products is: 978-88-8370-491-8. The pages in these journals are made of acid free paper. The paper inside is acid-free which means they will last longer than standard paper. Some people may or may not have a need for this quality, it simply depends on the user. In addition to the overall construction, Moleskine perforated the last 16 pages so they can be neatly removed. One of the most useful features can be found on the back cover. Moleskine has incorporated a pocket to hold small documents or cards. Very innovative! Prepared for sale in 3 packs, the Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journals retail for ~$10.
My Perspective
I’ve been carrying these for years and despite their robust construction, they do eventually degrade and fall apart over time. It is for this reason I have decided to purchase a wallet which combines the protection of my Cahier and also keep my money, cards, ID’s and receipts organized. I have a separate write up on this as well for my JP Leathercraft Field Notes Wallet (which also fits the Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journal).
In short, there are several options available for pocket size notebooks or journals. The Moleskine Cahier Pocket Journal is not the least expensive option but I believe you do get what you pay for in this regard.
